P. vitifolia seed ?

One of the fruits on my vitifolia started shriveling up so I picked it. I'm not sure that it was ripe because it didn't come off that easily. I cut it open and the seeds look like unripe melon seeds. They are kind of a translucent white color and soft, encased in a membrane like covering. Are these seeds ripe or should they have darkened and/or hardened?

Most passiflora seeds are hard, opaque -not translucent. My guess is they are unripe.

They are unripe. After searching online I found a pic of mature P. vitifolia seeds and they are quite dark. I have about 10 or so more fruits on the vine. Hopefully some of them will produce viable seeds. Thanks for the info.
