Passion fruit seedlings

I am Mani Nair from Mumbai, India. I planted some seeds of yellow passion fruit and planning to grow the seedlings in a container. I would like to know - which is faster flowering - the plant from seed or the plant from cuttings.

RE: Passion fruit seedlings

Hello Mani,

The quick answer is that almost invariably, plants grown from cuttings are much faster to mature and bloom than plants grown from seed. The choice to grow from seed rather than cuttings would need to be based on something other than speed.

Have fun either way.

I agree with Eric. I've only had a couple passies that I've started from seed bloom in less then a year, most take considerably longer.
