| I have a couple of passifloras that I'm pretty sure have the mosaic virus. They are near other vines and plants in my garden such as brugmansia and salvias. Should I get rid of them? Will they transfer to other plants? Can they infect my brugmansia or salvias? If I do get rid of them and plant new passifloras in their place, how can I be sure that they won't get the virus from the being the same place in the ground? |

| I've had P. incense that had a virus. Maybe a mosaic type virus that makes the foliage develop yellow discoloration. I had them growing for several years near brugmansias and my brugs never developed a mosaic virus. I also have several salvia varieties though they weren't growing in close proximity to the incense. I have no idea if it remains in the soil or what other viruses affect passies. |
