late in life experiment

After putting it off forever, I finally decided to try to grow some peonies from seed. So I ordered a bunch online, and have spent hours scarifying and soaking the the seeds.
I am interested to see what happens because these are not the normal colored parent plants : greens, golds, purples and blacks (yeah I know). Stuff I just haven't seen in the US.

I'll be retiring in a couple years so am hoping they will bloom by the time I get there, or by that time comes I can just be some plant food.

Anyone else had success on the exotic seed front?

Seems to me they are a lot like lilies, which give quicker gratification from seed, and one of my favorite things in the world, the blackberry lily.

The peony thing looks like it will take a few years, which is why I don't do hosta [seed].

Bragu, are your seeds from tree peonies? Their colors are much more diverse than herbaceous...
