Mid winter break etc

I enjoyed the talk Saturday and Don Hollingsworth did have his new plant list available.

Just a FYI for those of you that have partners that think peonies are very female in the new list is a very upright very masculine single called "Butch" and for the lover of the smaller ones "Royal Tot"

For those of you who plan ahead the American Peony Society is having their meeting in Kansas City with a tour to Hollingsworth's fields.

Is it possible to tour his fields even if one isn't a member of the APS?

I might be needing a vacation around blooming time.

Don and many growers have their fields open during the blooming time for visitors. If you come call and ask if any of his tree peonies are still blooming. He has a very good collection of them. I keep asking when he will be grafting and selling tp's also but he keeps telling me that maybe his assistant will do so one of these years.

I can not find my book but there are some growers in Indiana. Do as web search on peonies in Indiana and you should find several.
