In my case I don't answer unless I have something that may help. Some gardeners are very busy and do not monitor this site daily, and its only been 3 days since you posted. Al

Same here. Now if it was a tree peony it would be natural depending on the cultivar. I would just wait perhaps giving it a little small amount of fertilizer.

Maybe this has something to do with the soil Ph.
One thing I have learned about this , patience is of essence and one must stroke when the iron is hot.
I'm now off to check my little babies - a newly sprouting peony , which I hope flowers this year.
