Peonies started from seed?

| Has anyone had any success starting peonies from seeds? I've been reading up on it but it looks really hard. I love peonies, but I'm not too familiar with all the different varieties. What are your favorites? |

| Be aware that seeds do not come true to type. They may look like either of their parents or an ancient ancestor. Do a search on this group for directions on growing peonies from seeds. |
