Thanks so much for the Edward Auten brochure. The brochure will be very helpful for me. Hopefully I can get some of the descriptions online for the cultivars that still exist.

I have one called that and the description is dark red semi-double. I'm wondering if its named right?

I saw the brochure the other night was wonderful. Listed a lot of peonies that are not in common use now. Flowergirl I don't remember W. R. Auten but there is a Robert W. Auten that is a dark red. Go to www.peon.de and click on A under the hybrizer and at the bottom of the list is Auten. If you click on his name and scroll Robert W. is near the end. Very nice red. One of the problems with everything is things go out of fashion and it is hard to find older cultivars.
