| This is the natural growth for this plant. The weight of the flowers help turn them. If you have a spot that is raised it helps to see the flowers better. You can use them as cut flowers floating in a bowl. I like the way the sun shines through the bloom. |

| I want them face up and be proud. I heard of some kind of frame to use ... might tools/supporting help? |

| shic, please tell me your picture isn't from this year? I planted a Kinkaku last fall, and it's just now beginning to come to life :( |

Shic, Souvenir de Maxime Cornu (which has been renamed by the Japanese to Kinkaku) just has this growth habit. It is a beautiful blossom that you will never see unless it is picked and placed in a vase. Generally you can get a 5 inch stem and that is enough to put into a vase that is keep full of water. The plant really needs to be planted in an out of the way place because it is not useful as a landscape plant. Souvenir is my wifes favorite tree peony. My favorite however is the one blooming on any particular day. |
