Floppy Tree Peony

I have a Feng Dan tree peony that I purchased from Home Depot two years ago. It bloomed for the first time last year and flopped over under the weight of the blooms. (Just three.) I didn't worry too much about it, I just propped it up and figured it would be stronger the next year. This year it is still floppy. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do or is it just going to take some time for it to strengthen it's stems? Maybe I should put a ring around it for a few years?

Also, I just noticed that I seem to have two different varieties on one plant. One stem is blooming white like it should and two others are blooming pale pink. It's very light but when the flowers are open it's very definitely pink. Would you recommend that I dig it up and see if the two types can be separated without much damage? I'll get some pictures posted later today when the blossoms open up. I'm really liking these pink flowers.
