Planting Peony

I just planted peony "bulbs" a few weeks ago. I know it probably wasn't the best time but I was wondering how long should it take for them to emerge. I don't think I planted them too deep but now I'm concerned.

How did did you plant them? The eyes should be no deeper than two inches below the soil and in your area, probably just an inch.

It was about an inch. How long after planting should they start to come up?

It is difficult to know what you started with. Peonies are propagated from divisions and can vary greatly in size and condition. All that can be done now is wait and be sure there are no pests waiting to consume them as they emerge. Al
