Can't help you with the peony, just cracking up over the evil thoughts. I'm forever thinking, I could go to that giant pile of mulch the landscapers left overnight and get a little right? How about those professionally planted tulips at the entrance of the subdivision down the street? I know they are going to be pulled up and replaced with something else any day now. They wouldn't miss two or three right? (What do they do with those bulbls anyway?)Even if I had the nerve, I'm convinced there are camera's everywhere these days. Maybe I'll buy a long blonde wig.

The Heartland Peony Society web site has a good database & gallery of peonies, maybe you could stroll through it and find one that is similar to the one you've lusted after. :)

I thought I was the only one that had evil thoughts of snagging something out of someones yard. when we went to silver dollar city in Branson Mo. they had great stuff everywhere, (I was drooling over their peonies and hostas) you know they are just going to get rid of the stuff in the fall surely they won't notice all the bald spots in their landscaping (it was raining too, verryy tempting)
