Do you know of a single, coral pink peony?

I saw a rather short in height, single coral-pink peony that almost glows. It's planted at a golf course that blooms happily with virtually no attention, but is simply gorgeous! Does anyone know of any such variety? I briefly considered visiting the place at night with my trusty spade and bringing it home, but my conscience just won't let me do it. Sigh . . .

Flame is a good one, holds it's color fairly well.

I think that Coral Fay, although it is considered semi-double, fits your description. Unfortunately I cannot say this from personal experience. The specimen I have has not bloomed yet. I think it may be planted to deep. I plan to dig it up and lift it higher this fall. Hopefully I will get lots of blooms next spring.

A friend of mine in Sebastopol (California) has Coral Fay, and it does look just like Coral Charm, but single. It's quite beautiful. Here's my coral charm that's been open about a week now. It was cloudy today, so it's not opening all the way.

Could be Coral 'n Gold.

Thanks everyone for your tips. The links are especially helpful. I don't have one single peony yet in my new garden, sigh, but aim to fix that really soon. Happy gardening everyone!

Consider Coral Supreme. It is one of my favorites, though we nearly lost it during our move 2 years ago. Poor drainage in the new location and a lot of its roots rotted. I moved it last fall and it seems to be responding to a new location with better drainage.

These pictures were taken in 2003.

I don't recall seeing Coral Supreme on Hollingsworth or Peonyparadise.com, but I'll look further. If there are any other suggestions, I'd sure appreciate receiving them. Thanks for your help.

You may also consider, "apricot whisper' which is a pretty one with songsparrow.com. Some other sites are adpeonies.com, ricecreek.com, etc. Good luck!
