I favor putting annuals between peonies until you see the perfect plant. You may decide after seeing the Krinkled Whites that you want another peony or even a small tree. Since you will not have the plants until this fall the time allows for additional thought. Do you want only spring bloom in the area or three seasons of bloom. Three seasons could be the peonies, bulbs in front, Baptisia, mums or asters etc.
