Bluish Mold on Peony Roots

I live in Northern California and have 2 very successful peonies I grew from bare roots. I ordered 3 more last year, but was unable to plant them until now.

I opened the package and found them covered in a bluish mold. The root is still firm, but I don't know if they're still good.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I just love peonies and would hate to throw them away. Please help!!!
