Newly planted itohs bent after wind/rain

I planted three Itohs 2 weeks ago. The three were at different stages of spring growth (maybe partially forced?)--about 6 inches, 10 inches, and the last about 14 inches high of growth. Each had several stalks.

After some wind and strong rain several stalks of the larger two are bent over to the ground sharply at the base. I am worried that they will not recover this year from that. What should I do? Get a peony stake and prop them up? Cut those stalks down? Or just wait and they will recover?

The first one that bent at the base dropped to the ground did so after heavy wind a week ago, and it is still flat to the ground. I tried to prop it up with a stake but the whole stalk is like a wet noodle now.
