How much did you apply? I was thinking of putting some on my peonies.

The greensand seems to help the hybrid peonies alot but it does not seem to do as well a job with the old fashioned lactifloras whose blooms are heavy. I still get floppiness with those. I put about half to one cup around the peonies. It is better to apply this in the fall so you do not disturb the roots while they are growing and give the organisms a chance to break it down to a form that the plants can use.

I haven't tried green sand on them before, but I have tried calcium chloride, and they do seem a bit firmer, but certain species are still bound to flop over just because they become too top heavy.
