Do you know what type you have (herbaceous or tree)?

If herbaceous, where you are, make sure it is planted near soil level, barely covered, keep it regularly watered, and maybe sprinkle some bone meal around it in spring. You want it to get as much chill as possible in your milder area. If it is planted too deeply, it may not bloom. Also, depending on how big the piece was, it can sometimes take a few years to be mature enough to bloom.

Can you post a picture of your stem cutting? Under what conditions did your cutting develope roots. Was it a cutting of new, green growth, or older woody growth. I have read where you can grow new tp's from cuttings alone but only one reference of the type of cutting and wheather or not the cutting surfaces were allowed to dry before being inserted into the growing medium.

thank you jenny and mailfleur. is it Herb. it is intersting system (from Russia) i tried it and succefully only get roots (~25'c) but not any buds. if we can think together. condition? cold? worm?
