Have lots of peony bushes (am a florist so use them for weddings) but the flower buds are very small. I have snipped off the side buds but existing ones are still mostly the size of a dime to a quarter..they live in beds loaded with yummy organic leaf mulch...the pH is around 7 (mostly due to the leaf mulch).

Also noticed that some of the plants have black spots and are wilting...fairly certain that's not good. Have had a lot of rain (5" last week) which am guessing had something to do with it.

Thoughts?
