You planted your peony from the pot into the soil being careful not to disturb the root ball. Now your root ball instead of being restrained by the pot it is by the sides of the hole. I would take your hose and put the end right on the top of the root ball and let the water trickle to soak it up. You have no roots in your native soil yet and even if your soil is wet it does not readily wick into the planting mix of the root ball. Al

Well they righted themselves. I am beginning to think it was wilt because of the sun. (and maybe more water needed) The following morning they were back upright, and it rained all day yesterday (and this morning) so they now have plenty of water. :)
