Your favorite reds?

Hello All!

We're doing a little landscaping work in our backyard this year that will open up a new location for a couple peonies. I saw Inspecteur Lavergne in a nursery this spring and fell in love with the color and now I'm imagining a bed full of various reds. I'll put them in this coming fall (so there's time).

So my question for you - what are some of your favorite reds? What do you like to pair with them? If you had room for three or four more peonies together in a new bed, which ones would you choose?

My favorites are Alexander Woollcott (if I can only grow 5, AW will be at the top of list), Ellen Cowley, and Mackinac Grand. For the doubles, I like Henry Bockstoce, Diana Parks, Red Charm. Here is a pic of AW.

Here is Ellen Cowley, similar to AW but flower is bit larger, color a bit lighter and the form not as lovely as AW.
