Good Morning,
I am a new member to this forum and also forming a new Garden Club at our local Senior Center.

My first question would be:
Can some one please tell me why peonies turn white after a few years, instead of staying their original color?
Sure look forward to learning with this grouup.

THANK YOU

Your plant only appears to have changed color. The original plant has probably died and has been replaced by seedlings that took up the space of the original plant. There are some peonies that will fade from a red to almost white such as Elizabeth Foster. It is possible if you have a intersectional(more study), a cross between a regular peony and a tree peony, that part of the plant will mutate with the mutation becoming stronger than the original plant. Good luck on you club. Please read the previous postings for lots of good information.
