Bareroot Peony with no eyes??

I received a bareroot peony and I can't see any eyes on it. The bulb below the stem is firm and there doesn't seem to be any rot or softness. Do you think it will still grow? I planted it anyway but perhaps I wasted my time.

I have planted many bareroots on which I could see no buds and everyone of them grew just fine. Al
