Angel Cheeks in part sun?

Posted by lalala 6 (metro Boston) (My Page) on

Checking out the peonies at the garden center today, I noticed that "Angel Cheeks" was the only one listed as "full or part sun" instead of just full sun. Does anyone have experience growing Angel Cheeks in less-than-full sun conditions? I have a spot that gets about 5 hours a day (maybe a bit more--I'm trying to keep track, but it's a cloudy/rainy week here).

Thanks!

RE: Angel Cheeks in part sun?

Update to my original post: we had a sunny day today. The planting location gets full sun from about 10:30-2:30, dappled sun from about 2:30-4:30. Is that enough sun for peonies in general (or Angel Cheeks in particular)? thanks.
