If they're in a really wet spot I think I'd try raising them. I've had to move some that were practically blooming before--you might lose a couple but if they're in boggy soil you might lose them all before fall. If you feel the spot is going to stay wet it might be worth the risk, just my opinion from my experience but won't claim to be an expert. Hopefully some of the more experienced peony growers will chime in...

Thank you Liz, I sure appreciate the advice and I think I will try raising them and putting some good compost and better draining garden soil underneath. You are right, I may lose them all if I don't try something, especially since the forecast calls for rainy days here in Wisconsin for the entire next week. Sure do miss the sunshine.
