First Blooms this Season

This one actually beat my tree peonies by a day, went out yesterday morning and it had just opened, fully open today. This is the first time this one has flowered, it's Claire de Lune. Can't tell from this photo but it's a very pale yellow, kinda like creamed butter. Don't know if this variety is REALLY slow to grow or if it hates the place I have it, it's been there 4 years and is tiny with only the single bloom this year---the others around it are much larger with lots of buds....Anyone else out there grow this one?

Oh, that is very nice. I have read that Claire de Lune had been parents of some of the newer yellow peonies. It is very special!

Thanks! I took the pic with my old, dying cell. Hope to get a better one this evening once it's slightly shaded using a better camera, maybe it will actually look yellow.....
