A suggestion on flower purchases is to make a list of purchases including where purchased, name, and if possible where planted. A list works really well when some animal, two or four legged removes the label.

Thank you. I do that for all my hostas and I am going to get tags for them this year but I never thought of doing it for any of my other perennials. I have a list of most of my perennials, and as for my hummingbird/butterfly garden I know the name and where every single plants is or is supposed to be without a map. But all my other gardens I am a little lost, I meant to make maps last year of all my gardens (not that there are a lot on .13 acres! :) But I think I will definitely do that with all my plants this year.

Although you may know where and what each plant is but if you became unable to take care of the gardens for a while would another know what is a plant you want. Although tags are good a bunch of deer or other creatures, 2 yearolds, in your garden could misplace or remove your tags. Have had it happen plus runoff washing them away so I try to suggest a map and tags.
