Forcing blooms to open, important

Hello. My daughter is getting married on Saturday May 24th. She really wanted some of our white peonies from our garden to put in the church. The weather has been unusually cold and damp her in Ohio and the blooms are not open yet ,but are showing color and small breaks in the buds. Is it possible to force open the blooms so they will be ready? Thank you!

There is a post called "cut peonies" and a poster mentions how to get them to open on time. Maybe you'll find it helpful. Best of luck, and congratulations to your DD :)

My daughter's florist ran into the same problem. He put them in warm water and massaged the buds very lightly. I believe the warmth from the water and his fingers helped the buds to open. I would also call a reputable florist for some advice.
