| Need cut peonies 1st week in August. Any suggestions as to where they are available then even though the weather is disastrous for them! Thanks |

| I'd guess there's nowhere in the U.S where they'd be blooming at that time, and I'm not aware of any specialists who get them to bloom out of season here, so you'd most likel need some imported from far away, though even in the southern hemisphere, they might not be blooming just then? I'd guess it's a wedding wish, but the flowers should be appropriate to the season, and available , before you pick the ones you want. Just a guess on my part regarding availability, as I never buy cut flowers though! I recall a question somewhere from someone living in the tropics , who wanted Asiatic lilies, but could find no bulbs where he lived, since they aren't normally grown in the tropics, and I'd guess it was difficult to find them for import, with all the import restrictions etc. in most countries. |
