Brown edges on leaves

I have brown edges on my peony bare planted not too long ago. It was a replacement from Gilbert Wilde and the timing was not good to be sent. I put it in the ground where it languished. Relocated it to a pot where it can get better air circulation. Any recommendations on how to improve its chances?

Keep in the pot for now, and out of the sun. Give it only water, at least until you see some new growth. You may get a strong enough plant by fall to be able to plant it in the garden. Al
