My early and mid-season peonies are just about done and I have one late season that is just starting to open up. I really do prefer the singles and semi-singles because they don't flop.

I made the cages with sticks and twine and it would have turned out great if I had made them tall enough. The worst 'droopers' drooped right over the tops of the twine. So --- next year I will get it right. A couple of newer plants with doubles didn't flop at all.

Anyway ---- as I deadheaded, it made me sad that the peony bloom is just about finished.
