I am a newbie peony grower in a cold zone. I have three peonies that are in bud, but not in bloom yet. They are all in the same area of the garden. This morning I looked at them and they were fine. But five hours later, I happened to glance over and one of them has gone limp. It is not on the ground, but the branches holding the buds have kind of drooped over. Very floppy. I expected this to happen when the peony had blooms ... but it is still in the bud stage.
