Sorry to disappoint, but I don't know if anybody will be able to identify a specific herbaceous peony just by the foliage alone, even if you know it is a double blooming pink variety. You'll have a better chance once you can post a picture of it in bloom.

Many peonies have new growth/shoots that start out red and as they mature turn to green. If it blooms next year, post a pic.

Thanks, I kind of figure as much. But thought I'd take the chance maybe someone would recognize it from purchasing at lowes or the leaves. Thefoliage is very different from the photos I seen. They are oval with a point. Smooth no jagged edges and this deep red/burgandy only around the edges and only at branches on the stems.

The most commonly-sold peonies here that are double and dark pink are Edulis Superba and Dr. Alexander Fleming.
