 o
egg masses on peonies

Posted by curios z5/6 NJ (My Page) on

just finished cleaning up spent blooms on peonies, and
noticed a great number of leaves had what appeared to be
small brown egg masses on them. does anyone know if there
is a particular insect that likes to lay eggs on peonies?
removed a number of them, but if they're beneficial or
butterfly eggs, would like to keep them.
thanks.

I doubt it's specific to peonies.
