Does Bockstoce, aka Diana Parks really get this big?

| I want to order it from a catalog, they describe it as "basketball sized" blooms! Could that be a typo? I find that hard to believe, but would be totally happy if that was true! I love to try and plant crazy looking and/or unique plants around here, since our neighbors are always copy-catting us! No one around here seems to have red peonies for some reason (I made sure to look this year!), and one that had huge sized blooms like that would really look beautiful in the front yard. :) Plus then it would take them awhile to find and grow one that looked like that, if they even could, ha ha ha!
Thank you for any info or advice. The pictures I found didn't say how big they got. |

| Small correction on your subject line. AKA means also known as but Diana Parks was hybridized by Bockstoce. There are at least two maybe more peonies that have Bockstoce in there names. These are large blooms and can be sockerball size in the right growing conditions(Oregon) but 6-10 inches across is more normal. If you look at Carsten's website Diana Parks is a full sister of Red Charm. |

| They are very large blooms, but basketball size might be streching it a little bit. Mine usually get to a medium Cantelope size. |

| Gee, I must be doing something wrong, my Diana Parks is nowhere near cantalope size. It has just finished blooming here in southwest Ks. |
