Transplanting

Hi:

Last year I divided and transplanted five peonies. This year they are about a foot or so tall but no flowers. Is this what I should expect? Thanks.

Probably. Depends on how long the original peony had been in place,time that you transplanted and size and number of eyes left on the divisions. Many just transplanted peonies do not bloom until their root structure is well establish and do not need the food to develope roots.
