Peonies that don't need support

I've had some peonies in my garden for over 20 years. They have huge pale pink blossoms but I have never found a successful method of supporting them. My bushes are taller than average--about 4 feet high. Most peony supports sold in the garden stores are useless because they are too low to support these blossoms.

On my walk this evening I passed a row of peonies that had no supports at all. The bushes were much shorter than mine and the blossoms were smaller, but at least they stood upright on long stems.

Can you suggest some varieties that don't need to be supported?
