New house, established garden, new gardener

| Our new house has a lovely perennial bed in the front including some peonies. Don't know what kind they are but they were huge, pink and fragrant. My question is, now that they have stopped blooming, what do I do? Do I have to cut them back at some point? When we moved in there was absolutely nothing aboveground where these plants are now, so I assume that at some point you remove the foliage. Advice? |

| At this time removing spent blooms to make the plant look better and prevent seed production is probably all that you would need to do. When the weather cools in the fall and the foliage yellows I remove all the foliage down to about 3 or four inches for the winter. Al |
