I am relatively new to gardening and even newer to peonies. But I think they are the prettiest flower. So I've started accumulating them.

I have a Inspector Lavergne dark red, a Sobret pink, and a white peony that I received as a housewarming gift. And I have on order for this fall the collect from Brecks. It includes: another sorbet, a sarah bernhardt, a felix supreme, a pillow talk, and a Festiva Maxima.

I'm planting them in a tree bed in my front yard. Right now, it is full sun. When I get my fruit trees planted it will have dappled sunlight and protection from the wind which gets very strong here. I can't wait to get all the plants in place so that I can watch them bloom and grow.

Right now I am amending the clay as quickly as my pocket book can afford and putting plants in that can survive in clay soil until I can get it all amended. With close to an acre and a half there is a lot to do.
