transplanting peonies

| I had to move several old peony plants several days ago to allow for work on a septic system. I tried to keep them moist in a wheel barrow for three days. Yesterday I was able to replant them. Should I leave the leaves on or cut them back to give the best chance for survival? |

| I would leave the foliage on. depending on how much root was damaged you will have some wilting but I doubt it will be significant or plant damageing. If you can shade the area for a week or two it would help. Al |
