Do you have Powdery Mildew or botrytis?

Search this and other forums for botrytis and you will get help about it. It's yucky stuff and will weaken your peony. Look at the corn meal solution.

Wendi - the problem isn't botrytis. It's PM and it is particularly bad down here in PA. The 2 diseases don't resemble one another.

I initially staved it off with a spray of some milk/water solution but I realize that needs to be reapplied often and I haven't done that in my case (been battling spider mites on other things instead). I need to mix up some Daconil and see how that does. Have to check if I have any ultrafine oil too (I have Volck oil but that might be too heavy).

I am sorry to hear that (I would be sorry to hear about either condition) sorry, up here in New England we have PM also but we see a ton of botrytis on the peonies up here. Thanks for the info!

Wendi - gosh, with all the unbelievable rain that you all have had up there (and more to come), I can see where botrytis would be a horrible nuisance in years like this! :-o
