| Have ordered a herbaceous peony , should arrive in September for planting.
Do I mix compost in the soil now? Will this harm the peony roots? Thank you |

| keeb, That is exactly the right thing to do. Mix the compost in now to prepare the soil in advance of when you plant the peony. Enjoy! |
