I got'em...now what?

I bought 3 peonies (sorbetr,edulus superba, bowl of beauty) on ebay. The buyer states "ONE (1) ROOTED DIVISION WITH FOLIAGE". I'm going to get these very soon. Can I go ahead and put these out in the garden since they have foliage? Or should they be potted until Fall? thanks!

I think I would pot them up until fall. These will be smaller than you think. Thats my guess. Al
