Sun requirement question

Hey all! I bought a house last year and there is a line of Peonies planted along the driveway. It had been a rental and last year all but the first two by the street had been mowed over. This Spring they all came back except for one. Unfortunately, half of them are in shade by around 1:00 in the afternoon. Do I need to move them into more sun, or will they come back stronger after not being mowed down.

I think I would wait another year before doing anything, they may bloom next year where they are. If they don't then I would think of moving them in the fall to a sunnier location. Al

I have peony growing in the shade and they bloom just as well as the ones in full sun,most peony will come back and bloom on the second year if the were moved or cut back to soon. So wait and see what happens next spring.
