peony seeds are very easy to germinate,you just need patience. take the seed from the pods when they are brown and start to open.Put them in a zip lock bag with moist not wet spaghum peat moss,the light brown stuff mark the date on it and lay them on a shelf in the house at room temp,for 3 months. at the end of that most will have sent out a short root.Put the bag in your frig for 3 months,or until you can plant the outside in the spring. i have had some of mine have their first bloom in 2 years from planting out when i started them under lights first.
