| I purchased an herbaceous and a tree peony in 3 gal. containers a year and a half ago. If they were planted at an appropriate depth in the pot should I plant them at the same level in the ground? Should I dig down and try to determine where the eyes are?
Thanks! |

| My herbaceous peonies I plant high enough to see the buds that will be next years stems. My tree peonies I plant about four inches deeper than they were in the pot. Full sun for the herbaceous and partial shade for the trees. Before planting I work compost into the soil down to about two feet. Al |
