| A local garden center had a year end clearance and I purchased two tree peonies (Hoki and Kinshi) for $10 each. I read that tree peonies prefer slightly alkaline soil. We have acid soil. We have wild blueberries on our land. Should I just wait and see, or should I amend the soil around the tree peonies, and if so, with what? Thanks for the help. |

| We have acid soil and tree peonies do well in it. I think if you prepare the planting area by digging in finished compost to about two feet it will buffer the effects of the acid soil and your peonies will be happy. Al |
