Potting Peonies

Greeting All,
I'm a newbie here. Long story short, I'm looking at moving in the spring and am trying to landscape my yard.
Because of the current location of my peonies I can't leave them where they are. What I am wondering is if it's possible to place the bulbs in a big, good drainage, pot and if they will bloom, or at least grow in the spring. I want to take them with me if I'm able to sell and move.
Thank you for your assistance.

| You can pot them up and replant in the spring. They may not bloom next year, depending how or if you divide them when potting. The last old peony I dug and potted, I ended up with ten divisions many of those did not bloom the next year, still in their pots. I did not need that many divisions but the root was so massive, I needed to get them into one gallon pots and so ended up with too many divisions. Al |
