Potting Peonies

Greeting All,

I'm a newbie here. Long story short, I'm looking at moving in the spring and am trying to landscape my yard.

Because of the current location of my peonies I can't leave them where they are. What I am wondering is if it's possible to place the bulbs in a big, good drainage, pot and if they will bloom, or at least grow in the spring. I want to take them with me if I'm able to sell and move.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kim

You can pot them up and replant in the spring. They may not bloom next year, depending how or if you divide them when potting. The last old peony I dug and potted, I ended up with ten divisions many of those did not bloom the next year, still in their pots. I did not need that many divisions but the root was so massive, I needed to get them into one gallon pots and so ended up with too many divisions. Al
