| Hi. I planted a Bowl of Beauty peony last year. It didn't flower but it grew healthy leaves and then died down as per usual in Autumn. It hasn't shooted yet and I was worried it had perished so I dug around gently in the soil with my hands until I found it. It appears to have white eyes/buds instead of pink ones. Is this possible and if so does anyone know why? |

| It sounds like you planted it too deep, don't worry about the buds color. All the climate I know about your area tells me not more than one inch of soil over the buds and maybe even none at all. Al |
