mold on peony roots

I just got 4 peony roots from an ebay seller. when I opened the package there was blue mold on 3 of the roots. I soaked them & planted them anyway, but should I dig them back up and see if I can get the blue off of them. will they be alright & grow next year? I'm hoping they will because the ebay pictures are really pretty. the seller called them raspberry sorbet. anyone know for sure? thanks for any advice.

Hi,
Are you sure it was mold? I think some fungicide powders are blue--gardeners dust roots with them to prevent rotting. If the roots weren't mushy I think they're probably ok.

thanks, that could be it. I did plant them, & no, they weren't mushy or soft. I guess I'll have to wait till next spring to see if they sprout or not. I sure hope so.
